It's over when the candle goes out, and it's done!

We had a great response this year! Thank you everyone who entered. It was extremely hard to just pick one winner from each category. I've listed runner ups, but unfortunately it's only the winners who get the signed ARCS of A Perfect Blood.

Again, I have to thank all of you who resized the physical dimensions of your pictures as well as follow the instructions as to category and caption. I spent tons of time on this, and anyone who made my life easier was thought of favorably when it came time to pick my favorites. (grin) So thank you.

P.S. Sorry if I mangled your name. I went through these pretty fast . . . And if your picture never showed, again, I'm sorry. If we received them too large or without the information I asked for, we tried to contact you, but there were some people we never heard back from.

Ruies and regs are here!

Kids
This is for the kiddies. If they can drive, they aren't kids anymore. ;-) Babies have a separate category. Winner will have the embodiment of Halloween in their eyes.

We had 70 entries this year in the Kid's category! Winner this year:

Winner: Alana the vampire mermaid

Runner Up: Kaitlyn the Kitty Cat

Pumpkins
New category last year. It worked so well, we will have it again this year. Winner will be the most sincere pumpkin in the patch.

We had 39 entries this year. Wow!

Winner: Amanda's Fall Pumpkins

Runner Up: Paula's Perfect Blood pumpkin

Group
Office parties, neighborhood get-togethers, hay rides . . . Three or more people, this is where you should be. Winner will be the group that is having the most fun.

Thirty-six entries made it very difficult, but here are my favorites.

Winners: Velissa, Vanessa, Yesenia, and Jhojan.

Runner Up: Janel, Cassie, Jay as vampires, Jamie as a vampire hunter, being killed . . .

Hollows
If you or your group is dressed for the Hollows, here is where you belong. Be sure to tell me who you are in your caption. Winner is the one that wows me the most.

I loved seeing all the Rachel's, Ivy's, and even some of the lesser-known characters. We had nineteen entries.

Winner: Kat as Rachel and M&M as Tulpa on the night Rachel stole Trent's elf porn statue. (even down to the sneakers!)

Runner up: Fred and Natash as Piscary and Ivy from a scene in Bloodwork

Make-Me-Laugh
If your costume is too silly for words, this might be where you should be. Men in fuzzy costumes usually win this.

We had sixteen entries this year, and as expected, a man in a funny costume won. What can I say? I'm consistent.

Winner: Doug as a hotdog

Runner up: Jen Dianna and Carmen as zombie "Chic-Fil-A" Cows

Over-The-Top
This is for the people who go all out and have a Hollywood-worthy costume.

There were twenty-seven entries here, and it was a hard decision.

Winner: Brandon as Edward Sissorhands

Runner Up: Julieanna (as Sweet Pea), Jenna (as Baby Doll), Nichole (as Rocket), and Rachel (as Amber) as the girls from the movie "Sucker Punch"!

Gruesome
Blood, guts, zombies, and blood. Did I mention blood? Winner here will make me go "yuck!"

We had twenty-nine entries this year, with enough gore and blood to make me go yuck.

Winner: Zach as a vampire from 30 Days of Night

Runner up: Doyle as a brain-dead zombie

E2 (Everything Else)
Not sure where you belong? Here is the catch-all category. Winner will be the "embodiment" of the holiday.

There were seventy-five entries in the everything else category.

Winner: Steve and Denise as Lord and Lady Lucifer

Runner up: Deisree as Rosie the Riveter

Pets and babies
Winner of this category will be chosen at random. I will not pick a winner between ultimate sweetness and totally cute. If your child can't walk with a trick-or-treat bag, please enter them here.

Thirty-eight entries this year in Pets and Babies, and since I don't choose the winner, but randomly pick the winner, there is no runner up

Henry the pumpkin and his mama, Marlene

All the entries

Bragging rights go to the following for having a costume (or attitude) that to me means Halloween. Thanks again, guys! You made it fun!
