Mail me your copies, and I will sign them.
The question has come up about the availability for
me to sign copies of the books. I'd freaking love to. I'd ask that you stick to boxes or bubble folders when possible as the fiber-filled envelopes always come in torn, and then the books have nasty
newsprint all over them. Please adhere to the following to help
insure a quick turnaround.
*** Important! If you or your postal worker puts a metered sticker on for the return trip
home, I can't send it back. My post office won't accept them
anymore. (I got quite a lecture.) So stamps or International Postage
Coupons please. No metered stickers. ***
If you're off the continental United States, email Guy
( vampcharms@comporium.net ) about the possibility of using paypal to arrange return postage
instead of purchasing from your post office the dreaded International
Reply Coupons. (shudder) For those who don't know, each coupon is
purchased for the amount of a first class stamp, so if you're overseas
from me, you'll need to purchase quite a few for me to buy enough stamps
to ship books back to you.
My
mailing address is:
Kim
Harrison
PO Box 36653
Rock Hill, SC 29732
Turnaround time is about two to four weeks with
first-class mailing. Media mail can take up to two months,
especially if it's out of the continental US.
*** Please include an email address with
your books so I can reach you if there is a problem with postage ***

Pre-signed copies:
In the US. I am working closely
with a local independent bookseller to try to keep signed copies available
at The Book
Rack. They do a large internet trade, and have put in a
click-to-purchase by pay-pal link for me. Or
you can call 1 803 327 9028.

Freebies!
Every year, I try to have
something to give to you, the reader, at signings and such as a thank you
for coming out to see me, and because I know that not everyone can get to
the few places that I go, I like to make them available for a short time to everyone for
the price of a SASE. It's a challenge to find
something that is small enough to slip into a pocket, light enough to mail
for the price of a stamp, and cheap enough to give away--and still
actually relate to the book. This year, Guy and I hit most of the
criteria with a replica of a, uh, key. (grin) It's a bit heavy
so it will require 63 cents worth of stamps to get it back to you, but
honestly, the lightweight keys felt cheap!

So here it is, and I love
them! I can't tell you how much fun Guy and I had creating these for
you. We have reserved enough to get us through the tour, but they are no longer available for a SASE.

Black Magic Sanction Tour
2009 shirts
(available limited time, last print run February
14th.)
The last print run of the Tour T-s was Feb, 14th, so orders are now closed for these. If you bought one, wear it to a signing! It will get you into our “family photo” at the bookstore
and bragging rights. (grin) We only make these available until the tour,
and then they are gone, which makes them extremely limited. They are
pretty cool conversation starters at the office, too.

I had a
tremendous amount of fun seeing these on some of you last year. ;-)

What the heck are burning
bunnies?
(And how do I get one?)
Burning bunnies are how I think
of ideas. Soft cuddly ideas that seem so innocent and sweet. I
take them in and feed them carrots. I pet them and talk to
them. They look so cute sitting on my desk. Until they flame
up and start procreating into more ideas, which I frantically chase about
my office until I corral them with pen and ink, jam them in a box, and
ship them off to New York. I don't know what New York does with
them, but they end up proliferating even more until there is no choice but
to bind them in paper and send them everywhere to get rid of them.
Unsuspecting people see them sitting on the shelf. They look so
sweet and innocent, and they're taken home where, if they're lucky,
they're fed carrots. If luck stays with them, even more ideas are
born. And that's pretty cool.
In an effort to recognize readers
and fans at conferences and signings, (and like-minded readers to find
each other) I have created little lapel pins of metal and colored enamel
in the image of my burning bunny. They are small (less than an inch
tall) and innocuous, but it always brings me a smile
when I spot them in the crowd. If you would like one for
yourself, I would be more than happy to send one to you or your writer's
group.
International postage is now pretty much the same as domestic, so no
worries there. It's all included.
$3.95 US dollars for each
pin. Go to www.vampiriccharms.com to order.
